Ejidos

Connect. Share. Grow.

There is a proliferation of social bookmarking sites out there. When you publish a blog entry, you want a way to easily tag and share your entry with the world. Check out: http://sharethislink.org/

My del.icio.us bookmarks can be found here: http://del.icio.us/shudson310

Interestingly enough, I find it more useful to create a tag cloud on my blog as a categorization mechanism. I've been tagging my posts this way since I started, as Blogger did not have a category or label mechanism until earlier this year. Roller has had that feature for a while, but I lost my Roller account when I left Sun.

If I find something interesting, I will usually blog about it rather than capture it in del.icio.us.

There should be a smart way to parse your posts and then automatically pull any URLs it finds into a del.icio.us bookmark. I haven't found a way to automate this.

Thanks, Lou! I had been using the del.icio.us 1.2 extension for Firefox. Didn't realize they had released 1.5. The bookmark import is a very nice feature!

I agree that tagging posts is the way to go, to help you keep track of and organize your content, and other content you find interesting. I'll add a tagroll of my interesting del•icio•us to ejidos, and if you add the tag 'community2.0' to del•icio•us, it will show up here.

Also, check out this new del•icio•us Firefox extension that Danny turned me on to.
